Simon, I use MP3DirectCut quite often but am still trying to fathom certain features. I know that the first track is always a junk file. I think the program is terrific for copying plays & such from BBC Radio 4 thru my soundcard. The FAQ file is helpful with some explanation. Harry Bassler - O
