Greetings,
Whilst they may sound fine at 22,050 and 64kbps, I believe high-pitched
female voices do leave something to be desired. I would recommend they are
saved in mono, not stereo, else they would sound better at 24,000 rather
than 22,050.

yes it will make them smaller and they should sound just fine.

Hi. I'm making a series of MP3 audio voice recordings at 64KBPS. I know that's
good enough for voice and it will keep the files from being to large, but if I
sample them at 22 instead of 44, will that make them even smaller? Thanks. Joe.

3200 is the bit, 22050 is sampling rate.
numbers that are
24 32 128 64 are bit
44100
22500
etc are sampling rates.

The subject line pretty well covers it. I just cannot remember which
number is the bit rate and which is the sampling rate. For example, I
often encode mono voice files at 32000 22050. But which is the sampling
rate and which is the bit rate? Back to basics! Thanks.

To

OOPS! The frequency is measured in kilohertz, NOT kilohertz per second. 1
hurtz = 1 cps.

Thanks.

To change settings in CDEX, press F4 and press control + tab until you reach
the encoder tab. Now, tab until you hear the sampling rate and make your
change.

Hi all
When using the very sensitive internal microphone of the Iriver h320, the
default sampling rate is set at 64 kbps mono. Of course it is not worth
recording with a stereo setting on the internal mic, but will you get any
significant difference when change the sampling rate to a higher
