you want the standard cable normally used for digital cameras. It has a
standard USB on one end and the other is about half the size.

What you probably have is a standard usb cable. A usb extension cable is one
that has a female connection on one end and is used to add length to a standard
usb cable.

They use an encrypted format for the books. The headphone jack is stereo.
This will play mp3 and wave formats for audio.
