I've always assumed that whether you ran the program's own uninstaller
or went through Add/Remove Programs, you were basically running the same
code, i.e. the code the application registered with Windows as the
uninstall routine. Either way, I use Revo Uninstaller from

My friend wants to uninstall MSN Explorer and Windows Messenger. How can we
do that? She needs to do this because she has only a total of six gigs on
her computer and every bite counts, she said. Hahaha!!!

Ah thanks for that Patrick, wasn't exactly sure if taking it out of
msconfig would cause any adverse effects. But we'll have my friend do
that then.
When I was on the phone with her yesterday she was a nervous reck
until we rebooted her system and things seemed to work well.
