Once you plug in the USB turntable your computer is seeing the turntable
as the default synthesizer and is trying to use that and that is why you
can't hear JAWS. The solution to this is to edit the JFW.ini file to
force JFW to use your normal sound card. Then plug in your turntable.

Friends, let me try to describe what's happening.
I'm using a model of crosley turntable that's got a usb connection.
Now, here's where people get stumped.
I try to plug in my usb cable that's connected to my stereo in to my
computer, but I lose all instances of speech.
i have an external synthe
sound card.
But the problem with this idea is, you can only run 1 at a time.
My best regards.
John.

HiI've a couple of questions and am looking for some advice/opinions.
I have an old turntable and bouble cassette which I put through a mixer then
take the signal digitally to my computer.
I'm thinking of changing for the IOn Turntable and the IOn Twin Cassette deck
which both have USB output to
No, exactly the opposite. The needle will be fine for 33s and 45s, but will
not be ideal for 78s. Though the 78s may play, you won't get the best sound.
I don't know if the arm has one of those screw-on pieces, but if it does,
then you should be able to buy the 78 attachment. If it is an all-in-one
Are you saying that it comes with a needle for 78's but not for 33's and 45's?

Hello, if this is the same USB turntable which plays 78s, then be aware that
it will not come with a separate needle to play them. Since the grooves are
a different width, you need a different stylus to play 78s than you do for
33s or 45s. Just so you know. If the software for cleaning up the
Hi Matthew! Well that would be a good way to get your vinal on to your
computer, and then maybe burned to CD!

Here's a link to a new product, a USB turntable. My main concern would be if
the needle is a good-sounding one, if it can be upgraded along with the
cartridge, and how well the software puts track marks down before songs.
