Gold wave can make regions out of files with quiet areas, and so if
you record off cassettes and the side(s) end, Gold Wave can search
for the areas and put markers/q points between labeling them by time.
Sf does not do this, though it will auto-region using much smaller
criteria like drum beat
Thanks!

Darrell,
Being such a novice at recording and such, I was not aware of what you have
said here, in your reply to me. I guess I could use a search engine, to
study up on Open Source stuff, but, could you give me a brief overview,
sometime?
Thanks M

Hi Mac,
I certainly wouldn't expect FS to release copyright. If they're not going

Jana! As far as I know, Jonathan and Brian's tutorials are no longer
available. I don't see any advantage in Gold Wave over Sound Forge since
you already own Sound Forge. I'm sure you can learn all you need to know
from this list whether you use Sound Forge or Gold Wave.

Hi Gary,
I think I'll write to FS and to Jonathan in that case. If FS isn't able or
willing to sell it anymore, then I feel they should give it away or let us
know they're serious about revising it in the relat

Hey, Jana
Hi, all! I'm trying to find a tutorial for Sound Forge 8 that is
accessible. I need one ASAP. Also, I'm planning to use Sound Forge to
record radio shows. I need to be able to talk over intros to songs
sometimes, and I'll probably need to record intros to promote my show.
