Yes, I think it can be done. First, you'll need to go into WMP and configure it not to automatically rip the whole CD. Hi, CDex will allow you to rip a CD as one big file. I do this all the time with no problems. What you need to do is make sure all tracks are selected, control_A usually does the job if it isn't automatically done for you, and then in the convert menu, select the 'Convert a Section' of the CD.

I find no feature in the Windows Media Player ripping program that's not accessible. What problems are you having? You could also try express rip by nch swift. While it's no more accessible, I've ripped quite a few disks which didn't work with WMP. particularly mixed content CD's. -Origina

Ok problem solved. Should you run in to this trouble here's how you fix it. For winamp you need to copy the wnaspi32.dll in to the winamp folder. For easy cda extractor you need to copy the wnaspi32.dll in to the windows\system32 folder. I replaced the one I had in the system32 folder with

Hi Sharon, I guess you have tried this, but if not, check the setting of jitter correction I think it' called. also reduce your burning speed maybe. Does this problem show on all cd players of the faulty disk? Sorry ifi'm just covering old ground or you have done any of this. Best, Joe A

Hi Sharon. It's possible that either the CD's you've ripped lately have surface issues such as finger prints or dirt and this is causing jitter during the rip. It's also possible that it's your CD-ROM. If you have a second drive may be worth ripping from there and comparing. Regards. Kevin E-ma
