Hello André The first option looks favourable. You could use the analogue input and output for other devices if you so needed to once you have finished with the transcription of your vinyl. If any of the devices are maines powered, be sure to check for any hum loops or other extraneous interfeer

personally, I would go for the first option, as then, you will have the pick of choice of equipment, so that you can maintain audio quality, where as going for option 2 means that you are going to be limited to those preamps with a USB connection only, and what ever bit and sample rates they cho
