the latest version of cdda extracter can convert them, i believe. or the
latest winamp should be able to play them, however i haven't gotten it to
work with aac files i convert in CDex.

it has been my experience that when you download something from
ITunes you can't play it on any other player on your system unless
you burn it onto a cd and then rip it back on there. The licensing
is very proprietary. As for m4a format yes, winamp does play that type.

so much better than MP3. If you are trying to burn your m4a file to a CD,
Easy CD-DA Extractor will also do that, without your having to convert the
format (and lose sound quality), first.

It's found in the file menu.
I'm not sure if it supports this file type, so you will have to look and
