Curtis, I don't know the technical details. but, as I understand it, they are all different implementations of the MPEG4 standard, with Advanced Audio Coding. I can tell you this, though - since I bought Easy CD-DA Extractor, myself, and began experimenting with these various options for ripping my CDs, several months ago, I've found that .AAC (AACPlus) at 128kbps gives me the smallest file size, at a sound quality I can't distinguish from a CD, of any file type, at all. I now use it exclusively, for ripping all my CDs.
