Hi Mari.
I use goldwave to match the volumes of my ripped music. That way, they play
at the same volume in media player or winamp or any other player, at the
same volume when I move them to my Zen and are already at the same volume if
I decide to burn a CD from them.

Hi Mary,
I've moved on to Media Player 11. I don't remember the option settings for
Media Player 10.
In 11, under Tools, Options, and under the Burn tab, there is a check box
Apply volume leveling across tracks on the CD.
So, have a peek to see if you have the same in 10.
