Hi Mary, I've moved on to Media Player 11. I don't remember the option settings for Media Player 10. In 11, under Tools, Options, and under the Burn tab, there is a check box Apply volume leveling across tracks on the CD.
So, have a peek to see if you have the same in 10. This was not a compilation, but a CD recorded by one artist. Is there a way to normalize such files in the program so that they play at the same volume level? Thanks for any help.
