Kathy! Is JAWS speaking through your default sound card now? What
audio programs are you using? Typically you can go into Preferences or
equivalent for the program and tell it which audio device to use.

When I switch sound cards for speech I don't have to reboot the
computer, just close Window Eyes and restart it.
