Do any USB devices have this? I heard somewhere that the SB stuff disables
your other cards when plugged in. I'd want my internal card operational at
the same time as the USB one. Nobody specifies whether
be nice if one
could just eliminate the hastle of 2 physical devices and have one that
looks like two to Windows.

The Imic, from Griffin Technologies, (spelling might be Gryphon), is cheaper
and might very well do what you want.

it doesn't work with windows vista be warned
there are no soundblaster vista drivers for it
other then that card rocks
I use it on xp myself
