You could connect the HDMI cable to the Apple TV instead of your cable box,
but then you wouldn't get cable on your TV. Most televisions have more than
one HDMI connection, so you should be able to get another HDMI cable to
connect to your Apple TV.

Oh yeah, One other setting you may want to turn on is to automaticly start
converting files. This way, you just select the files you want to convert,
and Sound Taxi starts to convert them right away.

I don't know what happened in my recording, but the problem seems to have
resolved itself. I recorded a six hour long file, and it worked great.
Must have hit a key to pause the recording or something.

add files to the list just like you would to open them in other programs.
If you want to be faster and add folders to the playlist, press SHIFT+L You
can choose to add subfolders below the folder you're adding.

Our cable company had cable boxes that put stereo through the coax
connector. Unfortunately the VCR didn't do this, so to hear stereo from it

I use Station Playlist on a laptop with no problem. It works fine.
As for a USB sound card, I'm happy with the Startech card I got from my
local computer store. If I remember correctly it cost me only $25. It
sounds quite good to me over my Bose Acoustic Wave.

my MD recorder to the PC using analog means, and record
the result into Sound Forge. I then split the file into individual files
and convert them to .mp3. It's a bit tedious, but it is doable.
