Does anyone know what is the most recent version of Winamp which will run on
the Windows 98 S E operating system.
Also, what is the most recent version of Total Recorder which will run on 98 S

Thanks.

I'm not sure what OS you're talking about Jim, but I'm guessing it's
Windows. You can use Switch on the Mac to convert MOV files to another
format, but it doesn't look like you can do this with Switch for Windows.
You can read more about Switch for the Mac and you'll find a download link

Hello Jim,
MOV files can only be played in Quick Time Media player.
That is the reason they can only be played on your computer, because you
have Quick Time Media Player on your computer.
But as far as I know, it can burn and rip CD's and DVD's too.
But however, it's not screen reader friendly o
Does anyone know about MOV files? I have two of those types of files that I
need to burn on to a DVD that needs to work on either a computer or a
standard DVD player.
Do they need to be converted or something?
They're not playing on any other computer but mine.

Hello Howard,
It all depends on how the amp was made.
If the amp was designed with a USB input port, then chances are, that the
amp has a digital to analog converter built in to it.
Plugging an amp like that in to your USB port, will give you audio.
But however, your computer will see that amp a

Woops, my bad.
I mint to tell the list, that the USB 3.0 would make transferring
audio/video files a hole lot quicker.
But right now, it is still in the experimental stage.
Once they get it all worked out, It will take less time to sink audio/video
files to your MP3 players and iPods.
Again, please keep posts audio related. This type of comment
is not appropriate for the PC Audio list.
Thank you,

So John, I think you're telling me that, if I were to connect an audio amp
to any place on a USB cable or the header on the system board, there's no
way I'd ever get audio out of it; just ones and zeros. I guess somehow I
thought the USB was a be all and do all and would have lines for analog
High Robert,
I heard they're coming up with USB 3.0.
So they say, it is suppose to be faster then USB 1.0 and 2.0 put together.
I read that in smart computing and PC WORLD.
Again, so they say, it will be integrated in to the Windows 7 operating
system and some OXX operating systems for the Mack.
I wonder if there are plans on boosting it further.

Thanks. I know how my printer and scanner work, but thank you for reminding

Hello Howard,
In this case, you are dealing with a device that is called, a digital to
analog converter.
However, this device is inside of your headphone mike combo.
You are getting the audio as an analog signal, but your device is converting
the bit streams of 0's and 1's in to the analog sign

Ideally it would be 6 conductors for audio: two each for stereo output, high
