I am saying this in all sincerity. Before making any decision, make a list of the things you wish to do with the unit. If you aren't podcasting, broadcasting, or making professional use of the machine then consider a cheaper model. If you think you will go professional, buy a better machine. hth

I have the Olympus DS71, and as a voice recorder it is absolutely top shelf! If you liked your DS 50, you will be in love with the DS 71, for note-taking etc.It has 4 gb flash, so this gives you a lot of recording time. However, this is not a music recording grade machine. It is a voice recorder.

Hello, not being a Window Eyes user, I can't help with Sound Forge's interaction with that screen reader, but what sort of problems are you having navigating the screen? There are scripts for Jaws made by Jim Snowbarger, and there may be scripts to add equal functionallity with Window Eyes, tho
