batteries. On the DS50, there's a plastic panel on the very end of the
machine on the record volume side IE away from the main control side.

I am having problems getting started with MP3 DirectCut. I downloaded the
most recent version lately. When I open a file and start playing it, the
file either stutters or seems to jump forward a couple seconds at a time.

Enabled the use of Key Label
Unfortunately, this is in the play list context menu. I have not had the
best success with the play list and jaws with winamp, so I don't use this
feature via the context menu much. it is a bit different, and has some good
options if you find a successful way to navigate the playlist window.
