Thanks Petro. This was most helpful. I appreciate the help. I found the
latest version. The context key also brings up a menu. Unfortunately the
settings menu does not show a thing to JawsWas hoping to output to my

You oculd always use CDex (free), goldwave (not free), total recorder (not
free), mp3 direct cut (free), and many more to accomplish the same task.
If you choose to use Audacity, then you may want to chekc out the tutorial
from:

You need to download voicebox. You can get it from:
http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/pub/Main/VoiceHowto/voiceBox+.zip
After that, just read the documentation. Everything should become clear
after that.
Feel free to contact me on or off list.

I believe Sound Forge only supports extracting audio from standard CD's.

Hi Deb,
If you wish to update the Victor Reader Stream, copy the file from your PC
to your memory card. Put the card into the Stream, turn it on and plug your
stream into a wall outlet while it does the update. It will tell you that it
is updating. It will shut off after it is updated. The file is

Just be sure to unzip it onto your card. As the information that you
should read first states, you do not need to place the file on a new card.
As that same information also states, one of the features of the 3.0

Hi John,
You might like to try MP3 Gain available from http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net.
This is a free program and will let you adjust the volume of some MP3
files without losing any of the audio quality. I hope this helps.
Regards Steve.
