Hi Deb,

If you wish to update the Victor Reader Stream, copy the file from your PC
to your memory card. Put the card into the Stream, turn it on and plug your
stream into a wall outlet while it does the update. It will tell you that it
is updating. It will shut off after it is updated. The file is deleted when
you turn the stream off.
The latest version of the firmware is 3.0. For NLS books, the authorization
key is stored on a chip with the stream. The authorization key matches the
model of the stream. It is not necessary to copy the key to another card for
reading NLS books that you have downloaded. For reading books from rfb&d,
copy the files from the CD to the memory card. The authorization key is
obtained from them by emailing or calling them and a CD is sent to you
giving instructions of how to download the key for your Victor Reader
Stream.
For any questions you may have regarding the stream, there is a support list
for that. If you need subscription information, write me back and let me
know.

Sincerely,

Subject: Updating the VictorStream.

Hi:

I have a really stupid question! I no that I must copy the update file onto
the SD card and put it in and let the stream do its thing, but do I need to
put the update file on a new card when I switch SD cards? Can I delete the
update file off the card after the update installs? Because I know with the
NLS authorization, that needs to be put on each card, right? Thanks, Deb.
