Hi,
I am a new user to winamp, using 5.35.
I was changing volume settings in the control pannel, and I thought I
changed them back to where I had them.
The result is that audio files played through winamp, including cds are
a lot softer than if I was playing these same files in windows media

JPG files, commonly known as J PEGS are pictures. They're probably
just used as cover art for the cd you ripped. just delete the jpgs
and you will be fine.

Hi Gordon.

You can check Ebay or get whatever's available in the "greatest hits" format if
you can't find it. There were no cds in 1962 and there never was an all-out
conversion of lp to cd either.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
Here are two suggestions, if no one has given them to you before.
go to
www.blindgeekzone.com
there are several goldwave tutorials there. Also, on for-the-people you can
find a ten-part tutorial on goldwave. It is an older version that is used
for this tutorial, but it will give you a go
Dan - Thanks for the reply. It sounds like you're
pretty well covered. I actually found four or five
more after I sent the first msg to you. My music
library consists of 15-20,000 songs, and sometimes I
overlook one or two.

With the exception of Ipod most players will play WMa files. They are
called mp3 players because the format is everywhere. I have nothing against
mp3, I just wanted to keep the record straight.

Just to add my two cents although it's a little late. I dislike the .wma
format. It is not used by a lot of products. You don't often hear of a wma
player.
I had a friend that converted a few thousand cd's to wma and a year later
was very sorry he did it. He could not play them in certain device
