Subject: What Have I done to my winamp settings?

Hi,
I am a new user to winamp, using 5.35.
I was changing volume settings in the control pannel, and I thought I
changed them back to where I had them.
The result is that audio files played through winamp, including cds are
a lot softer than if I was playing these same files in windows media player.
My sound card which is playing window-eyes and my speech synth is at the
maximum and is asloud as it ever was, but I can't figure out if there is a
play volume in winamp, or how to change it.
Can any one help?
Thanks.
