I think I'd go to the manufacturer of the drive's web site and see what
you can find there. I think I can be pretty sure that if you were
getting a Blu-Ray capable drive you'd know it either from the price or
the hype around what you were getting. From what I've seen at Dell, a

Play the file through to the bit where it goes quiet, then pause.
Press control-home and this will select from this point to the beginning

You should then be able to normalize in the usual way, remembering that
anychanges you make will only effect your selected material.

Sure, that makes audio phrases without gaps which I truly hate to hear
people use, because it takes the humanity out of the presentation, but I
don't think that is what he had in mind, a facility which would look for
more than 10 seconds or so of a gap and then either put a mark there, (which

High Terry,
I don't mean to sound cruel, but whoever told you that, they told you a lie.
If the notebook has USB ports, then you can use a USB TV tuner card on it.
As for witch one to buy, I haven't explored that territory as of yet.
But I will keep all of you posted when I do.

Hi.
Yes, windows media player is completely accessible. Version 10 or 11 will
do just fine. MP3 ripping is good but with the limitation that you can only
rip in constant bitrate at either 128, 192, 224, 256 or 320 kbps.
Regards.

Hi Terri,
I think the best way to get a TV tuner card for a laptop is to use one that
plugs into an USB port. There are also TV tuner cards made specifically for
laptops, but I don't know too much aboutthese.
