High Rick,
You may want to give the Audigy 4 Malty Media Controler sound card a try.
I was on the Sound Blaster website yesterday morning.
This card will work with Vista, but I'm using it with Windows XP Service
Pack 2.

Any general consensus as to what card is best working with Vista? I'm
currently building a new machine and am currently going with a SB audigy 2 but
would like something better for Vista if possible.

Thinks man, One needs all the knowledge that he and or she can get!
When it comes to buying stuff like this, it helps to find out as much as you
can about it so you can make an informed decision to buy it or not.

DJ, I have forwarded your questions to a friend who operates a small

The card was a USB soundcard, a 1296 if I remember correctly, and,
basically, it kept dropping out. This could happen after 5 minute
