this is indeed true because Microsoft has elected not to adopt industry-wide standards in its Media Center software. On the other hand, I have a Dual core Media Center computer with the M-Audio Audiophile 2496 PCI sound card installed and have had no problems, except getting a handle on the powerful control panel. However, this seems to be a common concern for all Delta newbies, blind or sighted.
