hi,
since german telekom sells vdsl to business customers, the "new"
speedport 221 vdsl modem can be used without vlan tagging.
the modem speedport 300HS and speedport 221 is basically the same,
both firmwares are based on linux.
normal you have to tag all pppoe traffic with vlan7 if you are using

hi,
backfire is broken on meshcube and magicbox
it would be very nice, special for people who are not that familiar
with unbricking devices, to stop providing this images on your

hi,
i can not start the wireless device on a tlink tl-wr1043nd with the
backfire firemware.
first i realized, that the firmware does not include the ath9k driver
by default, but even after manually installing the ath9k driver with
opkg install kmod-ath9k i can not start the wireless device.

hi jason,
this device looks like an accton oem device similar to the smc webt-g.
it has only 2 mb of flash and 8 mb or ram, this is too less for running openwrt.
an other thing is the dc power design, it does not have a dc/dc
converter, so it will "burn" the rest of power while dropping the
voltage

does this show a broken compact flash card, which i have to replace now?

i think this is a problem in the firewall script, not the network script.

hello everybody,
it is nice to see, that 8.09 is finally released - thanks to all of you!
based on so many requests, i guess this is the major reason for the
very poor performance of the website, the trac, wiki, svn and so one.
so my question, what can be done to upgrade the webservices for openwrt

hi,
at the moment there is one profile for soekris boards, so called net4801.
but there are at least 2 more models, the 45xx series and the 5501.
the 45xx series is the oldest board revision and is based on amd
ElanSC520 and not on sc1100 like the 48xx series.
the target for soekris 4801 is not wor

hi xavier,
well on and off may not the best "words" for this,
general you use gpios to switch between off/on or left/right, or
high/low, or 0/1.
and the nanostatio
hi, i was working with the nanostations some weeks ago,
the big deal with the diversity is, that the nanostations has two
diversity switches,
so, as fare as i know, if diversity is complete disabled, the external
antenna plug is the default one.
if the first diversity in on and the second diversity

so don't forget the R in bert!

hi,

for using pcmcia cards (older 16bit) pcmciautils is needed, but jet
not included into package feeds of openwrt
so i add the pcmciautils to the feeds packages under utils
diff -urN trunk/feeds/packages/utils/pcmciautils/Makefile net4521/trunk/feeds/packages/utils/pcmciautils/Makefile
--- trunk/feed
the org. sc520 watchdog driver does not work on soekris net45xx series.
with the org. driver the system is not rebooting as it should, after a
watchdog "ping lost"
the sc520 driver need some other gpio stuff. i found this in some
older mail archive from an older kernel 2.6
Index: linux-2.6.23.16/dr
1. splitt subtargets to generic, pcengines and soekris
2. move pcengines profiles to new subtarget pcengines
3. move old soekris profile to new subtarget soekris and add two new
modells (net 4521 and net 4526)
diff -urN trunk/target/linux/x86/generic/profiles/Alix.mk trunk_working/target/linux/x86/
since config 2.6.25 two usb devices are not set by default in kernelconfig,
so you have to use make V=99 to confirm the settings for .config
just add those tow missing lines in target/linux/au1000/config-2.6.25
