I like the readability of this patch, clear function names, good structure !
Lowers the entry threshold of reading the code for me.
The option of an additional sh-only-basefile package sounds like I good
compromise.
As I can see, Bastian opts as a maintainer already ;)

As I extended the madwifi.sh for this parameter as well .. I would vote for
[x] option beaconinterval 1000
... as it is just longer but readable.

We are right befor of having a proper Freifunk based 5GHz turbo-a mesh
firmware in place. The tide about madwifi under Freifunk has turned in the
last weeks and adhoc meshes running in 5GHz are possible. Thanks to all
programmers involved in this.
