I also think that testing/developing branches are useful. And it gives
the chance to the OpenWRT users to test new stuff by adding
";testing_branch" in the feeds.conf file of the buildroot.

what is the problem with testing branches ?
as long as the necessary branches are there with the correct names, I
dont see the drawback of the extra branches.

Shouldn't sysupgrade image contain the same magic as factory image?
Currently generated sysupgrade image for my router (D-Link DIR-610 A1)
doesn't have it, causing sysupgrade to reject the image.
