Bonjour

Vermillion is JDS's codename for the development release of JDS.
SXCE is an aggregation of all consolidations of software on
opensolaris.org (plus some other closed consolidations currently
delivered from groups internal to Sun). JDS is merely one of those
consolidations.
So no, SXCE61+Vermilli

Hi,
I am a jackaroo on Solaris. And the problem puzzles me.
There is such a sentence in an article:"Those devices which have other devices
attached to them (typically via a bus) use nexus drivers." Then, for the nexus
drivers(for example SCSI HBA driver), how to search for its child devices(for
OK, I'm a little confused and I hope someone can set me straight.
I was prepared to install build 62 in my laptop tonight so I can set it
up to boot off of the ZFS. Upon so, I could only find Solaris Express
Community Edition (SXCE) Build 61 and Vermillion 62.
What is the difference?

Hi there,
Its a question of preference.
Agreed.
Solaris is a far superior OS in the
kernel etc. Userland it just isn't. Nexenta is a really nice bridge
between the two. Frankly, if you need to get hot around the collar
about this issue its alright.
And here we have to agree to disagree, veh
