Installing from another source doesn't address the issue of the
packages failing to download from pkg.openindiana.org. I've never seen
an HTTP 206 response anywhere but in my Apache log files. As of just

Hi Gary,
Please pull from the source providers and retest your configuration as
you may have a configuration issue.
1. OpenOffice 3.2.1
2. JDK 6u21 (6u18 default)
3. GCC 4.3.3
Let me know if this doesn't work for you.

Yes, I'm quite familiar with the 206 HTTP status code -- it's also
common to see them when using download managers that pipeline multiple
chunks of a file at the same time then reconstruct them on the client
side. But this is a stock install of OpenIndiana -- all I've done is

Nora has made some lovely new XScreensaver images for use in the next release,
to replace the current one which someone complained looked too similar to the
old OpenSolaris colour scheme.
Which do we like best? :-)

http://wiki.openindiana.org/oi/Mirrors
You can change your publisher with:

The /legacy repo on pkg.oi.o is missing content - we're just working on this at

rebuilding the indexes.
For the time being you can do:
pkg set-publisher -G http://pkg.openindiana.org/legacy openindiana.org

I believe MailMan strips it away and it is *right* thing, because
probably you want to put them to
http://www.openindiana.org/some/where/here and give us the URL. :-)

Maybe the project could use any money received for servers, bandwidth,

Crossbow is definitely included, I don't know about Xen since I don't
use it. (Who needs Xen when you got zones? :)
