I don't think this makes logical sense - so may be a clue to some other
mis-renderings. Otherwise hardly important!

Re-doing a www site I notice some (standard?) html features Netsurf does
not do.

I too am having this problem, but there are associated side-effects which
may help locate it.
On, for instance, Google, when the problem manifests itself, the keyboard
is still obeyed but bot fed back to the screen.
So I have "Something" in the Google search box.
I do ctrl-U - "Something" still
