mysql_config is usually shipped with binary and source distributions
or devel rpms (for SuSE on x86 it is "SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 9
(x86) - Headers and libraries"). See:

I'm trying to install something on SuSe Linux that requires mysql_config
(DBD::mysql to be precise). I have mysql installed but nowhere is there
anything called mysql_config. The server version is something called
4.1.12-Max, a version of MySQL I've never used before. Does this
