Nope, that's pretty much my setup. Of course, I generate the profiles.rc
and the profile.d/*.rc files with a script based on a yaml file, but the
generated configuration looks just like that.

Can the .muttrc detect what version of mutt is running? I would rather
not 'mutt -F .muttrc.' depending on the hostname of the

mutt is a great mailer! Try switching to mutt 0.96.1, it has many imap
features that's not in 0.95.4.

As far as I know, mutt's imap support is greatly improved in 0.96.1,

Depending on your situation, hooks can be tricky. A general
rule-of-thumb is to remember that hooks are "sticky". In

I have the following line in my muttrc file so that I can quickly open
the spool file with alt-1 (I have set meta_key).
macro generic 1 ":push c!" "open spool file"
It almost works. I have to type alt-1 . It isn't pushing
enter for me. What's up with that

macro index I "!\r" works fine, but
macro generic I "!\r" gives me the error
hange-folder>=! is not a mailbox.
Why's that?

looked at fetchmail, but it downloads the messages and give
them to MTA, which I don't want. I've also looked at UW's
imapxfer utility, but the username and password is entered
interactively there, and can't migrate one folder at a time.
