What is the status on the S/MIME implementation
that was mentioned on the list a while ago?
Is it in the current snapshot?

Is there a way to / would it be a good idea to be able to
set more than one map when binding a key, eg:
bind index,pager \e previous-entry
(instead of stacking multiple entries for whatever maps you are
binding to)
