ption noatime to not update file access
times -- needless to say this is not normal and you should know what
you're doing before trying this. You would want to make sure you're
not using any software that depends on access times, e.g. mutt!
Is it possible the filesystem in question
hould be disabled in
the pager to avoid the need for holding down a shift to get clicks
through to the terminal for copying.
