forecasted for 4-6 inches of snow, followed by freezing rain. Please pass
on this information to your friends!

Prairie in Clay County. We originally heard it around 11:30am and were able to
relocate again at 1pm. Coordinates:47.0399 -96.4370. It was hanging out
on one of the buildings viewable from the road. Other information
At 11AM I had a glossy ibis on 320th St. just south of Madelia. After about
five minutes it got up, flew south, and started circling the larger wetland to
the south. I’ve spent the last 2 1/2 hours watching the area and have had
constant shorebird turnover.
Of note:

John Hockema and I found at least four buff-breasted sandpipers in Cottonwood

with tons of killdeer. Two miles west of Jeffers Petroglyphs, south side of
270th St. Also a couple upland sandpipers present as well.

Earlier this evening I found a first county record Sabine’s gull on South
Walnut Lake in Faribault County. John Hockema and I initially viewed it from
the boat landing on the south side of the lake. I’m not kidding when I say it
was a mile away, as it was literally on the opposite side of the la

The wetland is a mile south of Madelia, on the east side of Hwy 60. Located on

To the best of my knowledge, the little blue heron hasn’t been seen for over
two hours. I will post an update if I hear anything new.

the marsh. Mornings and evenings may be the best times to try for them.
