John Hockema and I just found two buff-breasted sandpipers in a flooded bean
field in Watonwan County. Lots of other shorebirds: Wilson’s phalarope, Baird’s
sandpiper, least sandpiper, semi-palmated sandpiper, Wilson’s snipe, both
yellowlegs, killdeer, and pectoral sandpipers. Buff-breasted were fairly close
to the road.

3/4 mile east of Hwy 15 on the south side of 280th St. This is north of Madelia.
