It would be helpful to know what the relationship is between low water in
the river, which I assume is the issue with the cranes, and some action or
lack of action by the Texas EQ Commission with respect to the river water
levels.

I had the same circumstance three years ago with robins at my heated bird
bath. At times the entire perimeter of the bird bath was wing to wing
robins...mine were feeding on flowering crab apples so I had a red ring
around the perimeter of the bird bath

temperature is in the 50º. Twenty or so years ago I found an oriole
