You should try the new 1.9.0-rc1 (found on SF) there the avi handling is
different, and is able to create files larger than 2GB.
The 1.8.0 version can handle quic

As the problem is described in the manual ('AVI, for example, has a 2
GB limit, as does ext2fs in 2.2.x k
