I removed "nodev" from the /var line and rebooted.

Good news! I previously reported that various generations of Lenovo X1
Carbon laptops would occasionally hang on waking up from sleep.
I am happy to report that the problem has apparently gone away after
upgrading to OpenBSD 7.5.

Today I updated to the latest snapshot and updated all packages. When the
system rebooted, the fans started spinning full speed and the system was
totally locked. The num-lock light would not toggle.
After a hard reset, I disabled xenodm from single-user mode and rebooted.
