New kernels are generated on every boot by relinking. Check your uptimes;
they're likely to match kernel timestamps.

Eventually, I seem to have achieved what I needed by some other means,
but still, I also tried to add some paths to the lddtree, but it does
not seem to help:

As a new contributor, I wonder, is there a unified list of things
that should be fixed/(re)written/ported?
I read the FAQ and surfed around the CVS sources, but can't find
anything that resembles what I imagine this to be.
