Eventually, I seem to have achieved what I needed by some other means,
but still, I also tried to add some paths to the lddtree, but it does
not seem to help:
odin$ ldd /usr/X11R6/bin/xclock
/usr/X11R6/bin/xclock:
        Start End Type Open Ref GrpRef Name
        00000eb6c5609000 00000eb6c5619000 exe   1    0   0
/usr/X11R6/bin/xclock
        00000eb9b07d6000 00000eb9b0855000 rlib  0    1   0
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXaw7.so.15.0
...
odin$ lddtree /usr/X11R6/bin/xclock /usr/X11R6/lib
/usr/libexec/ld.so => /usr/libexec/ld.so
libXaw7.so.15.0 => not found
...

... while /usr/X11R6/lib/libXaw7.so.15.0 does exist.
(I tried a few other ways, but to no avail.)

Nonetheless, thanks for your help.
