I've setup my openbsd machines so that ldap users can log into it.
I've installed login_ldap, configured /etc/login.conf, /etc/ypldap.conf,
domainname in /etc/defaultdomain, and added the + user and group in
master.passwd and /etc/group.
As far as I read ypldap cannot speak l
counts and not
LDAP.
getent group however seems to return a subset of LDAP groups, when I set
the basedn in ypldap to"dc=domain,dc=tld" :

It works, thanks!
However using Samba as an ads member together with ypldap doesn't seem to
do it.
I still need to add the accounts to passwd to make samba work.

You don't need ypldap. This is a LDAP-to-NIS server which provides NIS
maps for users and groups so You can fetch passwd/group
