Good Morning,
We have seen the same issue (we are currently 5.5 SR2). We are loading
SR4 to LIVE today (cross fingers please), and there is code included in
that release that fixes this.
We use the POM Order Sheet for provider entered orders only and have
these set to print to Pharmacy as well.
Hi Kelly,
7 years ago, we decided to set user mnemonics using the first three
letters of the last name and first two letters of the first name (e.g.
John Smith would be SMIJO). The core team felt that this would be the
most user friendly. For the most part that has been true with a few

Hi all,
Does anyone know of something in PCS that shows who acknowledged the
order on the Status Board? We have the Acknowledgment Log report but
the managers are hoping for something "on line" in the status board that
shows who acknowledged the order.
Any suggestions/insight will be greatly app

Hi all,
We have come to the plan of either Wed or Thur as these are days that are

processed, the morning lab draws to be run, the physicians to round
Hi Cindy,
We started with CPOE in an accidental way. In 2001 when we went up with POM for
the non-providers, the providers decided they wanted to do it too and it took

While that sounds grand, it was a bit of a nightmare and has had some outcomes
that we would like others to avoid. At th
Hi folks,
How are your facilities handling the order source for orders entered by
non-providers under the direction of standing orders or established protocols?
An example staff are giving me is the Heparin Protocol which has additional lab
testing to be ordered based on previous results. Wha
Hi Adnan,
If your question is what do we use for the profile mnemonics, we use
whatever seems to fit the profile we are creating. We do try to "group"
similar profiles together by mnemonic to make the ongoing management
easier. For example, for our various types of Admissions office staff

Hi all,
Our providers are trying to work toward fully using CPOE. In their

have access to the hospital system and are not currently using LSS. The
