We built 'drugs' and pharmacists now enter these when they order levels
as reminders for nurses to draw/confirm collection. You can attach a
simple CDS for nursing to when they full doc these orders. The set is

We think this is safer for patient care rather than discontinuing held
orders (as we did before BMV) where physicians may 'forget' about orders
that have been on hold and assume they are getting therapy they are not.

This works for us. Just be sure to create your refill list section with

figure
out the logic/criteria of how to look at Meditech's padded 11 digit ndc
number and decide if this is really a 4-4-2 format vs a 5-3-2 or a
5-4-1. The example ndc could have been 0173-0344-47 or 01730-334-47 or
01730-3344-7.
Does anyone already do this or know how to correctly determ
changed. CE works better for pharmacy
(cleaner dispensing process), but it breaks up the audit trail for e-MAR
so badly that it is hard to see what has been happening with the
patient. Now we try to retain one IV order as long as possible.

For BMV, we
1. zero-dose, dose description = 'see admin criteria'
2. build a table type (or possibly CDS-type) admin criteria.
3. if this is pattern blood sugar, enter a SIG with standardized PBS times

We are planning to turn this enhancement on soon for e-MAR. We had to
