Hi there:
I can't get my Touch to speak no matter what I do. I know that I have
inadvertently turned the speech off before, but I can't remember how to toggle
it. Voiceover isn't the problem, I don't believe. It won't turn on or off, so
I think it is the speech itself. I know the thing is
Electronics tend to make an idiot out of me. After I posted, the thing
started talking. I have no idea how I snubbed it, :) but it's chattering now.
Just wish I knew what happened in the first place. Thanks.

When I'm experiencing this, My sighted husband tells me that sometimes the
Voiceover cursor gets stuck in a bblank space, or tries to focus where there's

that is a prefference file. You might want to have VO rewrite those files,
just a thought. If you would like me to send you an email explaining how to do
that, I can. You will have to reset your prefferences in VO, as your settings
will be lost.

Just for what it's worth, the ITunes update fixed not only ITunes issues, but
another problem I was having with VO. I'm thinking that perhaps there was a
conflict of some kind that was resolved.

Hi:
I had no issues when I did this, but I do have an IPhone 4S. I've had issues
that others don't have too, so I think that sometimes these electronics have
minds of their own.

It might just be easier to arrow down to the podcast you want to download, then
press vo/shift+m and then arrow up once to download episode. Press return, and
you're good to go. That's what I do.

You can also select it with shift+option+right arrow, press Command c to copy
the link and then simply press command v to paste it where you want it.

It will certainly beinteresting to see how they expect you to get back to the

I seem to remember there being a pass through key stroke in Voiceover similar
to the JAWS key 3,?, but now that I actually want it, I can't find it.Does
anybody know if there is one, and if so, what it is? Thanks.

Hi:
You can choose the episode you want to download, press vo/backslash to expand
the podcast, vo/shift/m to the context menu, arrow up once and
press return to download it. If you want to download all of them, expand the
podcast list, then while on the podecast hname, press vo/m and arrow up
of course. But then again, that is a pretty drastic measure...
