When you start the machine for the first time, it should automatically after some time, give you the start voiceover thing. If this doesn't happen, booting from the snowleopard dvd should start voiceover, again wait a few minutes for it to start talking. I could be wrong but that should happen

In my opinion getting dvds into itunes on the mac is easier than under windows. The only down-side to using a mac as your entertainment hub is that TV is very difficult, if not impossible to access. There seems to be only one aplication for tv watching on the mac, EyeTV, and it's absolutely us
