Transferring music library

Hi guys, I need to transfer my itunes music library. My plan is to use a USB drive. Any tips going from itunes everything to the new separate apps? Should I just transfer the usual itunes music folder? I'm not sure how to get everything in the right place on OS Catalina. Thanks for any guida
