I recently got a new Macbook and am a bit puzzled about what's meant
to happen when logging in. On my nine years old Macbook, when VO
starts at the log-on screen, it says I'm in a scroll area, and from
there Ih select the user account and press it, then type in the
password.

All of a sudden I am unable to move through headings on webpages by
pressing H. This is also applying to other elements like I can't move
through check boxes by pressing see. I am imagining that somehow I
have altered a setting in VoiceOver perhaps accidentally by pressing a
certain keystroke

Clarifying what you're asking - are you saying that when your memory
stick is in your braillenote it has folders called books and lessons,
but when you put the stick in your Mac those folders aren't there and
you get a load of numbers instead?

I don't know why the braillenote wouldn't see a ueb document. If you
wanted to try converting it to the bn's own braille format you could
go into file manager/translation.

the computer to sleep or the display to sleep. I don't know how
you're putting yours to sleep or whether it applies to Mac minis, but

menu-type sound while it's doing it, though it doesn't say anything
about smart text.
Does it still do it if you type a URL you've never been to before?
