Hi List,
I have a friend that needs tech-support & wants me to use TeamViewer to help
him with Avid’s Pro Tools.
Is this doable with VoiceOver?
If so what are best practices while using TeamViewer on my Mac Pro & his Mac
pro?
Thanks
Chuck

Hi Chuck,
I don't know about Team Viewer
but Remote Incident Manager is very cool and absolutely accessible to use. It's
by Pneuma Solutions and 30 Minutes per day are free.

Maybe this is a dumb question. I am copying folders and files onto a portable
drive on my Mac. I have already copied some folders there. I want to copy
more folders there but I don’t want to copy the new folders into the already
existing ones, nor do I want to close the drive in the finder an
Hello. I am in Mac Sonoma 14.5 on a 2020 Mac mini M1. Rogue Amoeba apps want
to update but need new permissions. In the little window that pops up, the
options for granting these new permissions are all dimmed. What do I have to
do to make them no longer dim and grant the permissions?

Well, I don’t use column view because I don’t like it, but in whatever View you
choose to use, simply navigate to the top level in the drive, and copy/move
your folders there.
Alternatively, you can press CMD + Shift + C, and then select your drive, and
press CMD + DownArrow to open the drive.
I assume when you say Rogue Amoeba, you mean you are trying to upgrade Loopback.
There is a big problem with the latest update to Loopback, and you should avoid
this update for now.
Since it sounds like you have already installed the update, and are stuck

Hi Jürgen,
thanks so much for the reply. :)
I’ll check it out.
My friend is only use to using TeamViewer though.
Can I take control of his box fully with your app recommendation?
Thanks again

I had no issues with Loopback on my M1 MacBook Pro. I updated both Loopback and
Audio Hijack. I know others had issues with their M2 and I contacted Rogue

Yes you can take full control. Once they download the program, all they will

Well, there is a VO setting to disable web defined keystrokes in preference to
VoiceOver ones.
Make sure that in VO Utility Web area that the "Always allow keyboard commands
to navigate websites” is unchecked.
Best wishes,

Brad:I am using an M1 MacBook Pro 16GB, 1TB which is why I said I was probably lucky. And why I thought it was interesting Rogue Amoeba said no one had contacted them with similar issues. I don’t do as much as Nicki or many others yet with Audio so perhaps that even plays a part. I have some Loopba
Very interesting that you have not been negatively affected by the update.

All you need to do on a Mac is to give some permissions to RIM. That’s a bit
tricky if you are not an experienced user but they described all necessary
steps as clear as possible. And then it’s really easy to use. But read all
descriptions thoroughly.
All the best
